How we write and check questions
Every paper on PrepRung is written to match one real exam, one year and one paper: the same sections, number of questions, timing, marking scheme, question types, topic mix and difficulty. The questions themselves are original. We do not copy official papers, coaching material or books.
1. Pattern first
For each exam and year we record the official pattern from the information bulletin or notification: sections, question counts, marks, negative marking, partial marking and timing. Our test engine scores each paper by that year's own rules.
2. Write, then solve with code
Each question is written with its full solution. Numerical answers are recomputed with code (algebra, calculus, physics and chemistry calculations), multi-correct questions are checked option by option, and chemistry structures are checked with chemistry software where possible.
3. An independent second check
A separate reviewer solves every question again from the question text alone, without looking at our solution. Any disagreement, ambiguity or missing data is fixed before the paper goes live. For JEE Advanced, this second pass covered all 1,062 questions.
4. No repeats
Every new question is compared with all earlier papers for the same exam. Near-duplicates are replaced with a genuinely different problem, not reworded.
5. Exam information from official sources
Dates, eligibility, fees and cut-offs come from the official notice or website, which we link on each page with a "last verified" date. Dates that are not announced yet are marked "expected".
