JEE Advanced papers, 2016 – 2025
Paper 1 and Paper 2 for every year, each in that year's own pattern: one-or-more-correct questions with partial marking, integer and numerical answers, paragraphs and matching lists. Every question has a worked solution.
How the pattern changed, year by year
Per subject, in order. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics always share the same structure within a paper.

JEE Advanced questions
What is the JEE Advanced exam pattern?
JEE Advanced has two compulsory papers of 3 hours each, Paper 1 and Paper 2, on the same day. Each paper has Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with the same structure in all three subjects. The question types and their number change every year, so each paper here follows its own year's pattern.
How does partial marking work in one-or-more-correct questions?
Since 2018: +4 if you choose all the correct options and nothing else; +3 if all four options are correct and you choose three; +2 if three or more are correct and you choose two correct ones; +1 if two or more are correct and you choose one correct one; 0 if unanswered; −2 for any wrong option chosen. In 2016–2017 you got +1 for each correct option chosen if no wrong option was chosen.
What are numerical-value questions?
You type a number, usually correct to two decimal places, instead of choosing an option. Most years have no negative marking on them. Integer-type questions take a non-negative whole number; in some years only a single digit 0–9.
Who can take JEE Advanced?
Roughly the top 2.5 lakh candidates of JEE Main (B.E./B.Tech paper), across categories, with age and attempt limits set each year by the organising IIT. Check the official information brochure for the current year.
Are these the official JEE Advanced papers?
No. Every question is original, written to match each year's official pattern, syllabus and difficulty, and checked independently. Use them alongside the official papers published on the JEE Advanced website.
