JEE Advanced has no fixed pass mark. After the exam the IITs set minimum marks in each subject and in the total for each category; candidates who reach them are 'qualified' and get a rank. The brochure gives a starting rule (for example 10% per subject and 35% aggregate for the Common Rank List), and the actual cut-off is lowered if too few candidates clear it, which has happened every recent year. Qualifying only gets you a rank; the rank you need for a particular IIT and branch is set by JoSAA closing ranks, which are much higher than these marks.
