CUET UG is the common entrance test for undergraduate admission to central universities such as Delhi University, BHU, JNU and Jamia, and to many state, deemed and private universities that choose to use it. NTA holds it once a year as a computer-based test over several days in May. You pick up to five subjects (languages, domain subjects and the General Aptitude Test), and each university then uses your scores in its own admission process.

When is CUET UG 2027?
NTA has not announced it yet. Based on past years, expect the form in January-February 2027 and the exam in May 2027. Watch cuet.nta.nic.in.
How many subjects can I take in CUET UG?
Up to 5, out of 37 options: 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and the General Aptitude Test.
Is there negative marking in CUET UG?
Yes. You get +5 for a correct answer, -1 for a wrong one and 0 for a question left blank.
What is the CUET UG cut-off for DU?
There is no single cut-off. Delhi University, like every other university, sets its own course-wise and college-wise cut-offs from CUET scores in its CSAS rounds. Check the DU admission portal for past rounds.
Can I take a CUET subject I did not study in Class 12?
NTA allows any subject choice. But the university may require that you studied the subject in Class 12 for some courses, so check its rules first.
Is there an age limit for CUET UG?
No. NTA has no age limit, though a university may set one for a particular course.
How long is each CUET UG paper?
Each paper has 50 compulsory questions and lasts 60 minutes.
What is the CUET UG application fee?
In 2026 it was Rs 1,000 (General), Rs 900 (OBC-NCL/EWS) and Rs 800 (SC/ST/PwBD/third gender) for up to 3 subjects, plus Rs 350 to Rs 400 for each extra subject.
Is CUET UG syllabus based on Class 11 or Class 12?
Domain subject papers follow the NCERT Class 12 syllabus. Check the subject PDFs on cuet.nta.nic.in for the exact units.
