Class 9 Maths Notes — NCERT Ganita Manjari (2026-27)

Ganita Manjari is the new NCERT Mathematics book for Class 9 from the 2026-27 session. It replaces the old 'Mathematics: Textbook for Class IX' and comes in two parts. The chapters lean on reasoning, patterns and real situations, so these notes explain why each result is true, not just what to memorise.

How to use these notes

  1. Read the textbook section first. Then open the matching concept here — each one has a plain explanation, the key formulas in a box, and worked examples.
  2. Cover the solution and try each worked example yourself. Check your steps against ours, not just the final answer.
  3. Read the “Common mistakes” box before a test. Most lost marks come from the same few slips.
  4. Do the important questions in order: Basic → Medium → Advanced. Write the answer before you open it.
  5. Finish with the 5-question quiz. If you score less than 4, revisit the concepts you missed. Use “Read aloud” to revise on the go.

Syllabus and official sources

CBSE's 2026-27 Class IX curriculum groups the same mathematics into six units (Number System, Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Geometry, Mensuration, Statistics and Probability; 80 marks theory + 20 internal assessment) and names topics such as Euclid's geometry, lines and angles and triangle congruence. The NCERT book arranges this material under its own chapter titles. Follow your school's schedule for which chapters are examined in each term.
