NEET has a qualifying cut-off, not a pass mark for admission. To be eligible for counselling you must score at or above a set percentile: 50th percentile for General/EWS, 45th for General-PwBD and 40th for OBC, SC, ST and their PwBD groups. NTA turns these percentiles into raw-mark ranges after each exam, so the marks change every year. Getting an actual MBBS seat needs a much higher rank than the qualifying mark.

Metric: raw marks range that falls at or above the qualifying percentile (the top number is the highest score in that group). Figures are from NTA's result releases as reported by coaching and news sites; NTA's press release of 16 July 2026 says the category-wise table was published separately, and we could not open it as text.
