CBSE Class 10 students study two languages and three main subjects (Mathematics, Science and Social Science), with an optional skill subject and an optional extra language. The detailed syllabus for each subject is in the CBSE Curriculum 2026-27, released on 2 April 2026 on cbseacademic.nic.in. Class 10 still uses the current NCERT books in 2026-27; new NCERT books for Class 10 are planned from 2027-28.

CBSE released the official sample question papers (SQPs) and marking schemes for the 2026-27 session around 22 September 2026, with no change in question paper design. They are the best guide to the 2027 paper layout. Download them only from the CBSE academic website.
