The 22nd edition was first set for 6 September 2026. After CBSE reopened applications (25 Aug–1 Sep 2026) following a Supreme Court judgment on teachers needing TET, the exam was moved to 12–13 December 2026. Paper II is usually in the morning (9:30 am–12 noon) and Paper I in the afternoon (2:30–5:00 pm). All dates are announced through public notices on ctet.nic.in, and gaps between editions have varied (Dec 2024, then Feb 2026, then Dec 2026), so do not assume a fixed month.
