Show answer and solution

Answer: (C) ₹20,000

For 3 years, CI − SI = P[(1+r)³ − 1 − 3r], where r = rate/100. Here (1.1)³ − 1 − 0.3 = 1.331 − 1.3 = 0.031. So 620 = P × 0.031 → P = ₹20,000. (This 3-year version differs from the simpler 2-year CI−SI = P(r/100)² shortcut.)
