Answer: (C) Rock Edict XIII

Major Rock Edict XIII records the conquest of Kalinga, the deportation and death of many people, and Ashoka's sorrow, leading to his policy of dhamma vijaya instead of conquest by force. Edict I deals with prohibition of animal slaughter, Edict V with dhamma mahamattas, and Edict XII with tolerance among sects.
