Convert to decimal: (1011)2=8+2+1=11(1011)_2=8+2+1=11 and (110)2=4+2=6(110)_2=4+2=6, so the sum is 17=16+1=(10001)217=16+1=(10001)_2. Adding column by column with carries gives the same answer; skipping a carry produces the distractors, for example (10011)2=19(10011)_2=19.
