The value of sin (tan ^-13/4+tan ^-15/12) is

Single correct option

The value of sin⁡(tan⁡−134+tan⁡−1512)\sin\left(\tan^{-1}\dfrac34+\tan^{-1}\dfrac5{12}\right) is
  1. A. 5665\dfrac{56}{65}
  2. B. 3365\dfrac{33}{65}
  3. C. 6365\dfrac{63}{65}
  4. D. 1665\dfrac{16}{65}
Show answer and solution

Answer: (A) 5665\dfrac{56}{65}

Using sin⁡(A+B)=sin⁡Acos⁡A…\sin(A+B)=\sin A\cos A\ldots directly: sin⁡A=35,cos⁡A=45\sin A=\tfrac35,\cos A=\tfrac45 and sin⁡B=513,cos⁡B=1213\sin B=\tfrac5{13},\cos B=\tfrac{12}{13}. So sin⁡(A+B)=35⋅1213+45⋅513=36+2065=5665\sin(A+B)=\tfrac35\cdot\tfrac{12}{13}+\tfrac45\cdot\tfrac5{13}=\tfrac{36+20}{65}=\tfrac{56}{65}. Option 3365\tfrac{33}{65} is cos⁡(A+B)\cos(A+B), found by mixing up the signs.
