On 15 February 2017 the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C37 placed 104 satellites into orbit in a single flight from Sriharikota, including India's Cartosat-2 series satellite and many small foreign nano satellites. The earlier record was held by Russia with 37 satellites in 2014, and ISRO's own earlier record was 20 satellites in 2016.
