Show answer and solution

Answer: (D) Rs 500 and Rs 1000

On 8 November 2016 the Prime Minister announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes to curb black money, counterfeit notes and terror financing. New Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes were issued. The Rs 100 notes were never withdrawn, and Rs 2000 notes did not exist before the announcement, which makes options with those values wrong.
