Answer: (D) 2200 V

For an ideal transformer Vs/Vp = Ns/Np = 10, so Vs = 2200 V. It is a step-up transformer. The current in the secondary becomes one tenth of the primary current, since power is conserved. A transformer works only on alternating current; direct current gives no induced emf in the secondary.
