Show answer and solution

Answer: (A) Humayun

At Chausa in 1539 Sher Shah defeated Humayun, and at Kannauj (Bilgram) in 1540 he defeated him again, forcing Humayun into exile. Babur had died in 1530, while Akbar and Jahangir came to power only later in the sixteenth century. Sher Shah went on to rule from Delhi, introducing the silver rupee and reorganising land revenue and the highway network.
