Show answer and solution

Answer: (C) 300 mL300\ \mathrm{mL}

Moles of FeC2O4=1.44/143.9=0.0100\mathrm{FeC_2O_4}=1.44/143.9=0.0100. Both ions are oxidised: Fe2+→Fe3+\mathrm{Fe^{2+}\to Fe^{3+}} (1 e−e^-) and C2O42−→2CO2\mathrm{C_2O_4^{2-}\to 2CO_2} (2 e−e^-), so nn-factor =3=3 and equivalents =0.030=0.030. MnO4−→Mn2+\mathrm{MnO_4^-\to Mn^{2+}} takes 55 electrons, so moles of KMnO4=0.030/5=0.0060\mathrm{KMnO_4}=0.030/5=0.0060, and V=0.0060/0.02=0.30V=0.0060/0.02=0.30 L =300=300 mL. Counting only the oxalate (n=2n=2) would give 200200 mL.
