Show answer and solution
Answer: (C) The Union and the State governments
Under Article 148, the CAG audits the receipts and expenditure of the Union and State governments, and of bodies substantially financed by them, and submits reports to the President and Governors, which are placed before Parliament and legislatures. He does not audit only the Centre or private companies as such, and the RBI audit is done by auditors appointed by the Central Government.
