Biogas is about 55-65 per cent methane with carbon dioxide, and it is a good fuel, so statement 1 is correct. It is formed when microbes break down dung and plant waste in the absence of oxygen, in a digester, that is anaerobic decomposition. Statement 2 is wrong.
